is there such thing as too much calcium?

im waaaaaay over on my calcium for the day, because i had yogurt at breakfast, and a quesadilla at dinner with a good amount of cheese. im talking like, i'm at -65. yikes?

  • In order to absorb all the calcium, you also need an adequate amount of vitamin D in your diet. If you only went over in one day it shoudl be no big deal. If you did it on a daily basis you would most likely feel it's effects by being constipated!:frown:

    Also if you are a woman you need more calcium. My dr. just told me women my age (46) should be gettting 1000mg a day to fight off osteoporoseous. Also if you live in the midwest or somewhere where you don't get enough sunshine, your Vit D may be too low. Most women can't get enough Calcium just from their diet alone.
