Good Mornings ? Form?

Does anyone here do Good Mornings? I have been doing them like I saw in a few body builder sites/videos.... bend over - back to full upright, and only felt them in my legs. I started doing them without coming all the way back to fully standing, still slight bent at the top of the exercise, and now I feel my back and glutes activate. Is it dangerous that way? I only do 45-50#.

i do them but i stand up all the way at the top, glutes tightly squeezed the the whole time. We do them super heavy, i hate them.

I stand up all the way too and squeeze glutes at the top. I actually kind of like them. I always do them and skip leg curls, I don't know if that's a good substitution but I've convinced myself of it.

I don't know if it's dangerous, per se. Maybe not the optimal way to do it though? I think your form regarding back, core, and chest is more important than whether you stand up all the way.

Maybe I should go heavier.... and stand up all the way. Just seems a waste if I never ever notice them

I do them and RDL's, but more of a finisher move after deadz and squats. Just a little something extra is all.
You can injure yourself just like any exercise but if you're careful (form and weight) they are a great accessory.

yeah i do them as an accessory after squats and dl, but we do consider them a heavy movement and do less of the other lifts to save energy for them, and go as heavy as we can. If you go heavy make sure to have safety chains or something. Make sure your form is really good.

I also stand and squeeze my glutes at the top. Like any other exercise, shorter range of motion isn't inherently dangerous, you're just leaving some of the benefit on the table.
