I don't seek out anything low fat other than non-fat greek plain yogurt because the protein is much higher. Fat is a necessary macro. I view mine as a minimum. Unless of course you have a medical reason to limit it. It helps with satiety too along with protein and fiber.
Trader Joes frozen chicken breasts are good and decently priced too. Frozen fish. Vegetables and fruit - frozen has excellent prices. I love their soy chorizo but I can't recall fat content. Their chicken sausages are good and lower calorie than most other brands. They have some awesome low carb tortillas that are low calorie. I'm not low carb but there are some products that have lower calories. I like their sprouted bread.
Aldi is hit or miss on things. They have good lettuce variety for decent prices.0 -
I would not buy low fat food, because to compensate for lack of taste (fat means flavour) producers need to add lots of strange things to your food, including more salt, artificial flavours and other stuff.
I love the Aldi Perfect Puds chocolate creams. I think they are about 80-100kcal each, very fluffy, always a bit dried out and sticky on the top and more liquid at the bottom - but they taste like real chocolate and not like sugar. Not sure though if they are available outside the UK. Some of their more expensive chocolate brands are ok as well.
I also like their deep freeze vegetable pizza because it contains a massive amount of tasty vegetables and not so much tasteless cheese. I'm usually fine with 5/6 of it, which fits well into my calorie allowance. Also love their smoked spare ribs, which usually doesn't fully fit, but hey, something nice every now and then?
Note: I'm maintaining, but being smallish and light, that's not so much more calories than losing.
Not sure if true, but one of the wholegrain bread brands they sell here contains more protein than the one available in other supermarkets. And it's just a bit less fluffy and more filling.0 -
Trader Joes: Vegetable Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein. Pretzel nuggets, Frozen Oatmeal, and Fat free frozen yogurt.0

I have never much paid attention to fat, but here is what tastes good at Trader Joe's (in my opinion):
Tomato Basil Hummus
Alphabet Cookies
Pickle Popcorn (Seasonal)
Inner Peas
Vegetable fried rice (has edamame in it, yum!)
---Absolutely not healthy, but I make room for it if I want it:
Frozen Orange Chicken
Belgian Pancake Puffs
Chocolate Croissants0 -
I miss living near a Trader Joe's. Some of my old favorites were:
1) Their amazing seasonal produce deals. Always delicious and fresh
2) Melodious Blend in the frozen section. Yummy and filling
2) Chocolate Brownie Oat Bars (120 calories of yum!)
3) Their Mango and Coconut Greek yogurts
4) Low Sodium Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup
5) Brie cheese bites (pre-portioned so you don't eat the whole wheel)
6) Sprouted wheat bread
7) Reduced Guilt Kale Spinach dip (great with all veggies)

The vegetable fried rice and the chimichurri rice from the freezer section are both really good. I love the sriracha hummus - been bringing that to work with some baby carrots and celery for an afternoon snack. They have a variety of trail mixes; I really love the almonds, cashews, and chocolate one (especially because you can buy it in single-serve packets). Freeze-dried fuji apple slices and banana slices are one of my go-to snacks; try to keep a package of each in my cabinets at all times.0
