Sturdy Gym Bag

Can anyone recommend a sturdy, high quality gym bag? I go to the gym each morning before work so I carry everything I would need to get ready for work in my gym bag. I have yet to have a gym bag last me an entire year. After a few months either the strap or the zipper breaks. Can anyone recommend a sturdy gym bag that will last at least 1 year?

    I would try the swimming backpacks from TYR or Speedo. They are roomy and have several compartments as well as easy carrying. They are well made. Good luck!

    My boyfriend just got a very nice one from Helly Hanson. I am quite jealous as it seems very sturdy and comfortable plus has an area for trainers/wet stuff etc.

    I've used two different Under Armour bags in the past. I only bought a new one because I wanted something smaller, not because it wore out. Quite sturdy. Nice compartments. Strong strap.

    My gym bag is made by adidas. I've been using it since 2007 for my martial arts gear (short sticks, daggers, sparring pads, etc...) and I typicallygo to the dojo 4-5x a week. The bag is a nylon, anti-microbial treated fabric with outside pockets for shoes/wet clothing, and a small pocket for personal items (id, keys, etc. )

    That being said, I'm pretty easy on all of my stuff, so what normally lasts one person a year lasts me 3x that. However, when I bought my bag, I bought gym bags for my (now ex) husband and (ex) brother-in-law for xmas. Theirs have held up pretty well, and they abuse the hell out of things! When you do go shopping for your new bag, make sure you check the seams and stitching. Make sure they're strong, no stray threads, and possibly, reinforced.

    Metal zippers last longer than plastic ones, but my bag does have the plastic zipper, but it's big and knobby. Not fine like you'd see on a backpack.

    This actually sounds like the gym bag I have where the strap just broke :/. I have to admit I am a little rough on my gym bag. I use it daily. I just assume that gym bags should be made to be durable. I just bought this gym bag in November/December :(
