Question Unrelated to Fitness: Foot Tattoos?

This is basically the only site I know of where I can get mixed responses from people everywhere, so I figured it was perfect.

People with foot tattoos; I REALLY want to get the Metallica symbol on my right foot. The circle of "M"s one. I was just wondering how much it hurts? I know it's a lot, and I'm not second guessing it just because it hurts more than most tats. I just wanna have a better idea of what I'm getting into. Haha. Thanks in advance, guys! And sorry for the randomness of the question.

    If you have other tats, how was this compared to them? Say if the other ones were a 5, your anchor would be...?

    I have a pretty sizable tat on the top of my foot and it was by far the most painful of my 4. I was shaking and the artist said "every twitch you make up there will show up down here." I'm pretty sure I held my breath the whole time after he said that. I can't even describe how much it hurt and it'll probably never get touched up.

    I have three flowers and some scroll work on my foot which pretty much covers the whole top of the foot. Stab a fork in your foot. Now drag it across while pressing down. Repeat for 1-3 hours. That's what it felt like.

    I have tats on each shoulder and one on my calf. This one was by far the worst.

    Had this done a few years ago.. I also have most of my back and one side of my rib cage done. The foot was worse than my ribs which I would gladly do again compared to that. There's no meat on my foot though either, which probably didn't help. But I love the way it looks and even though it hurt like hell, I'm still planning on doing my other one.

    This was my very first tattoo so I didn't have anything to compare it to, but I will say I twitched a lot and was in some pain but mine wasn't very big so it didn't take long. I have more tattoos now and I think my back hurt worse then my foot.

    My first tattoo was in my foot. Right across the top on my bones to be more specific. It did hurt, but didn't last long. And it so worth it.

    I don't have a picture at hand but I have one that spans pretty much across the whole top of my right foot, right down to the edge of the toes. I don't know if it makes me the odd one out but apart from the wrist, the foot was the peachiest place I got tattooed so far. It did hurt, as tattoos will, but it wasn't excruciating. I'd say it was about a 3-4 for me, on a scale of 1-10.

    I'm in the same boat as OP. Would love a foot tattoo but worried they will start and I just won't be able to take it and end up with a couple of random lines lol.

    I've got quite a few other tattoos but just working on the bravery for the feet doing LOL.

    I have a lot of script across the top of one of my feet, and I didn't think it was too bad. I've had the typical "painful" places tatted prior to this (ribcage, chest, neck, elbow) and there was some places that were uncomfortable (the closer he got to my toes) but it was just that - uncomfortable. I wouldn't call it pain though.

    Ah, no no no, wrist is a walk in the park, really. Most places along the arms are fine, except elbow, armpit, etc. Just make sure they don't move it up too close to the hand, basically nowhere near the wrinkles where you bend your hand. The ink tends to bleed out in places like that which get moved and bent a lot.

    I have a pretty sizable one on the top of my right foot. Covers about 3/4 of it. Yeah it was painful, but nothing unbearable. I'd do it again. As a matter of fact, I'm due for a touch up so I will actually do it again.

    i got a foot tattoo almost 6 years ago. not sure how i add a picture on the app but it hurt A LOT but i also don't have other tattoos to compare it to
