Food on vacation

I'm going on a road trip in the next couple weeks and I always mess up my diet when on vacation. What are some tips to stay on track? I probably won't have a fridge at the hotel but what are some healthy snacks that will keep good for the week?

We always carry a cooler with us so we can bring foods that need to keep cool without having to worry about a fridge. There's always an ice machine at the hotel to refill the cooler. I also map out before where there are grocery stores or Walmarts/Targets along the way so that I can stop there and pick up healthier choices and fresh fruits and veggies rather than stopping at a fast food restaurant or convenience store along the way.

i usually get regular groceries for most of my vacation foods...

but, it's vacation. you're on it what, 1, 2 weeks a year? if now isn't the time to enjoy some rich food, when is?

I try to do small potions and low calorie for breakfast and lunch so I can splurge at dinner and enjoy the local cuisine. I actually exercise more on vacation since we do walking tours and climb lighthouses and go out dancing. Enjoy and explore.

There are restaurants and grocery stores most places. Look up ones in the area where you will be staying.

A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables that are not cut or peeled would be perfectly fine at room temperature for a week.
Bread, nut butters, canned tuna, canned chicken, trail mix, nuts, fruit cups, granola bars, dry cereal, instant oatmeal packets, wasabi peas

    Fiber One bars
    Pure protein bars from walmart
    Beef jerky
    Trail mix
I make my own sandwiches for the car/plane trip.
    An apple a day.
