Steps in myfitnesspal, calories adjustement

Hello,
Yesterday I did 14k steps, and the app states the calories adjustement is 1600 calories. Puzzled by that number I checked some online resources and couldn't find a final answer (and I'm ok with that) however 1600 seems high compared to the average found online and in other apps which is between 500 and 1100 (taking my weight and age into account)

Any thoughts?

Are you saying you had 1600 total to eat or it gave you 1600 on top of your normal MFP total? Either way seems strange (1600 total seems low, but 1600 extra is way too high).

If I get 10k steps I get to eat 1500 total, which is about 300 exercise adjustment. Not over 1,000! 500 seems much more likely.

I got 1600 as adjustement... Hell yeah, it sounds wrong. Any idea how do I report this as a possible bug?

The same thing was happening to me with Misfit...I was getting like over 2000 extra calories...so I just go in and delete the calorie adjustment and log exercise manually. Its a nuisance but I haven't found any other fixes yet!

what is your level of activity? Do you have MFP set to negative adjustments? What device are you using to measure your steps?

What are you using to track your steps?

What is your height & current weight?
