OK...so after checking more into this...here is what I have found.
1 oz (28Grams) of dry roasted peanuts is around 160 calories...Now if I'm doing this correctly, would I be correct to say that 2 tablespoons (28 grams) of peanut butter with the ingredients being JUST DRY ROASTED PEANUTS is 160?? If so, I'm a VERY HAPPY GIRL!!!!
Description from my local store!!!
Heinen's Fresh-Ground Peanut Butter
Our Heinen’s fresh-ground peanut butter made its in-store debut in 1960.
The recipe was simple and remains the same today: take roasted peanuts, add nothing else and grind. Extraordinary taste and texture. No wonder it has such a loyal following!

if you were going by just weight, then maybe...volume is a different story (tablespoons might not work).0

Cool! I haven't eat peanut butter in years. I don't really like nuts... but I am forcing myself to try again in place of ranch with my celery... and it's not too bad with apples too.. lol0

if all it is is dry roasted peanuts with the same amount of grams id say its the same, i cant see how alter the state of the nut would change its calorie content... but thats just my opinion0

yeah grams and table spoons are two different ways to measure...
When you put 28g of whole peanuts in a container, they don't pack down tightly removing the air... peanut butter does.
This means that there will actually be more peanuts in 2 tbs of peanutbutter as opposed to 2 tbs of whole peanuts.
does that make sense?0 -
i would say that logic is sensible... however be sure to do your research in terms of the calories in peanuts... compare against other brands of 100% roasted peanuts peanut butter... I use President's Choice Organics PB, where the only ingredient is roasted peanuts, and the label claims 200 calories for 2 tablespoons (30g)
regardless, i LOVE peanut butter, and definitely think it's worth the calories:)0 -
