food dreams

So I had a dream last night that I was at a family get together and I reached for a cookie (which was on a tree?) and ate one before realizing "I'm on a diet" then I figured since I already ate one I should just call it a cheat day and not sweat it. On a side note I don't even like sweets! (I know weird right?) Does this mean my body is telling me it wants a cheat day? lol. Has anyone else had any bizarre food dreams they want to share?

    I used to start a new diet plan and a couple nights later, dream that i just binged out and ate everything in sight and would wake up thinking"well I've blown it, may as well eat what i want! "

    Happened pretty much every time until i finally got passed the "I'm on a diet, I've broken my diet" mindset.

    I often used to dream about eating everything while walking through the grocery store - especially down the cereal aisle. I haven't had that dream in a while now, come to think of it.

    I dream of candy all the time, I have a love affair with all things sweet. I could eat bag after bag, but I know I can't, so I do it in my dreams. There are long buffet style tables that are LOADED with chocolate creams, bon bons, divinity, cotton candy and everything else, and I just stuff my face and say "mmmmmm" and it's pure heaven. Pretty disgusting actually to think of it.

    This is clear to me that in fact the dream is about the tree more than it is about the cookie. The tree represents nature and eating clean and the cookie is actually a representation that you have been eating very healthy.


    The other option is that the dream represents your fear of Santa Clause. .. ... .....

    i had a dream once that i was eating chicken wings and then i found out they were not vegan chicken wings

    when i woke up i started crying because it was so disgusting and i was panicked

    Well in your case @salembambi your dream is more complex. And what you perceived as chicken wings was actually deeper feeling for your love of animals.

    But I don't even like cookies or sweets >_< Not in the last 10 years at least. My taste buds just changed I guess with age.
