hi

i have been logging my food for a while now, i have been at the fgym most weeks about 4/5 times.

i have lost inches all over but only lost 4lbs of weight.

i should admit my eating is not the greatest - small thinsg like crisps and chocolate let me down.

i am looking for dietry advice for someone like me - who does exercise most days - what food should i be eating?

Youre likely to get a variety of examples, but I'd stick to eating small, 300-400 calorie meals 5-6 times a day consisting of about 2 handfuls of veggies, 1 handful of a whole grain product, and protein about the size of your palm. This will supercharge your metabolism and give you all the vitamins and nutrients you need to make it to your goal.

    Thanks for this

one of the trainers in the gym said i should eat:

    eggs and porridge for brekkie

chicken and wholewheat pasta plus veggies for lunch and dinner

    fruit in between

but its not enough variety for me

Well, what I have found to keep me eating at the proper intervals is to make things that are comprised of the things I know I should be eating, but combine them in a manner that is 'crave-worthy'

I was completely NOT hungry for my mid-morning meal today, but I knew that in order to keep my metabolism happy, I'd have to eat or risk slowing it back down again, so I made a smoothie that had pineapple, fat free greek yogurt, lite coconut milk, a touch of agave nectar, half a frozen banana, and 2 cups of spinach.

I got in a sweet and delicious treat, all the while, consuming an appropriate amount of fresh green veggies, protein, and a little fat.

You just have to think outside the box sometimes. Hell, my lunch isn't going to be very exciting, but I've come to the conclusion that every meal I have doesn't have to rock my socks off.....it simply has to taste good and provide me with the nutrition my body needs. If that means popping open a can of white tuna and eating it with a slice of ezekiel bread and some sliced bell peppers, so be it. At least it's not gross tasting, it's clean nutrition, and it's healthy! :)
