I was on sw and now quit to do calories instead , app says 1580 calories a day, when I exercise it add an extra 100 = 1680 I'm confused does that mean I can eat up to say 1600 calories I really want to lose between 2/3 per wk

MFP will only give you a maximum of 2lbs per week to lose, because anything higher is not really healthy.
Yes, it means that if you add the extra 100 for exercise, you can eat the full 1680. MFP's calorie burns from exercise can be kind of weird, though, so most people recommend only eating half of them back (so 50 instead of 100 in this case).0 -
You need a calorie deficit to lose weight. Weigh your food and log everything you eat. MFP over estimates the calories burned. If you choose to eat back your exercise calories, don't eat back more than half. You will lose the 2/3 pounds a week a lot quicker in you don't eat back your exercise calories at all.0

Yes, the way MFP is set up, your deficit is already built in to your original calorie goal, so you are supposed to eat back your exercise calories. But MFP can overestimate your burns, so most people advise to eat back half.
So in your example, you would aim for 1630, and don't sweat it if you eat up to 1680.
