Hi all! I'm going to a movie with a friend and she's going to buy the oh so terrible but incredibly delicious movie theater popcorn. What do I do? Should I let myself have a little or...what?

When I went yesterday I got a medium with no butter and split ti with my kids. I think It only came out to 250 cal, so its not as bad as the stuff with movie theater butter. Just get a small, or a kid size if your theater offers it and dont add the butter.0

This is what I do! lol0 -
Normally I'm the type of person that says, "everything in moderation" but that stuff is really bad for you. Fat and sodium! Plus, it's hard to quit once you start. Then, it's so fatty and salty you want soda to get that coating out of your throat! UGH!
Anyway you can sneak in your own?0 -

Depends on whether or not you have the discipline to stop at a few bites. I would definately bring healthy popcorn as a backup if you can't seem to stop with a few bites!0

I do some extra work on the stairmaster before hitting the movies. I love the popcorn too much to give it up.0

noooo, google what the FDA allows to pass in it & you won't want to touch it anymore. just think of the ball pit at your local fast food place... like that, but edible. grossness.0

Pop your own 100 calorie bag at home. Then put it in a ziplock plastic bag and take it to the theater. They don't check!
If you are not feeling comfortable with that, you all can share a small, un-buttered popcorn. Or if she really pigs out and needs her own tub of popcorn, then YOU get a small un-buttered popcorn (no extra salt on it) and eat only half.
Bring that empty ziplock and put the half you don't eat in the bag to keep it fresh. Save it as a treat for later or a work-time snack.
I've done all of the above and its worked for me!
Enjoy the movie0 -

Thanks everyone! The theater made it especially tough when they offered a free small popcorn for me and my friend! But I resisted, and let her get her own and just managed a handful (luckily I felt bad eating her popcorn!)0
