44 and Tired of the Being "Fat"

Hello! I am finally ready to make my lifestyle change. I never thought I would be ready to do it, but I am here, and I am giving this a try on the suggestion of my doctor.

I usually stay quiet and keep to myself, but I think that hearing from people who are just like me will help keep me motivated. I have 100 lbs to lose, but I have been doing this for a month and I have already lost 12 pounds.

Food has always been my comfort and my best friend. I realize now that some friends don't always have your best interests at heart. I have to change my relationship with food...no matter how cliche that sounds, it is utterly true.

I am a 44 year old single woman, with no kids. If anyone out there feels like saying hi, please feel free! I will also return the favor and help you to stay on track!

Best,
Nina

I hope so, lesarchie! I am so tired of not being able to do things because of my weight or how I feel!
