No weight loss this week

I'm a 24 y/o female, 5'3 and 170 pounds. Trying to lose baby weight. I've been eating healthier since February 1st. Been seriously dieting and exercising for the past 2.5-3 weeks. I lowered my carb and sodium intake immensely and pretty much just eat chicken, fish, fruit, and vegetables. I lost about 4 pounds within the first week-2 weeks but this week I haven't lost a single pound. Is it normal to plateau this early on or maybe I'm doing something wrong? According what I'm logging through this app and Fitbit I'm in between a 500-1000 calorie deficit per day. Feeling discouraged. Help.

Not a plateau since that's 6 weeks or more of no weight movement IF one was continually consistent with diet and exercise/no exercise. And it's actually rare because many people who claim it, didn't do everything exactly the same for 6 weeks.
Weight loss isn't linear. You can do something one week and do the same exact thing the next week and have different results.
Continual effort is what counts. Stay consistent and it will happen.

1 week is not a plateau. 4-6 + weeks without a loss is a plateau.
Weight loss isn't linear. You won't see a loss each week. Sometimes you'll maintain and sometimes you might see a slight gain. It's completely normal. Since you have a Fitbit link your fitbit account to trendweight.com
Trendweight will help you see past the fluctuations to what is actually happening.0 -
Weight loss is never linear. It sounds like you're off to a good start. Is your diary open? You might want to show it to some of the experienced loggers here. If you are not weighing all your food servings or if you've been using those 'quick adds' bear in mind that your deficits might not be as big as you imagine. But my experience has been that some weeks I just lose more than others and I can't always pinpoint exactly why. For that, it's good to focus on the enjoyable parts of the process & put the goal oriented thinking to the back burner...0

Thanks guys. I think I've just been paying too much attention to the common misconceptions of dieting. That if I'm not losing 1-2 pounds per week something is wrong. But I made my diary public and I measure my food and log everything as accurately as I can.0

A week really isn't much. Keep doing what you're doing and check your weight again next week.0
