Lazyman Triathlon

Do they do these at other gyms across the country? I for one am LOVING it! The way it works is that you sign up and you have from 5 weeks to complete a Triathlon (26.2 miles running or walking, 112 miles biking, and 2.5 swimming). I am a person to really does well with finite goals, so this is fantastic for me. It's also giving me a huge appreciation for people who do actual Triathlons in like, a day! Unreal. I've never swam for exercise before, but this has made me start. It's great! I love that my heart rate really gets pumping without ANY impact on these aging joints. The prize from the gym is a Tshirt but of course the real prize is the sense of accomplishment.
Just thought I'd share.

Our local Y has done them in the past.
If you haven't tried one before, you should check out a sprint triathlon.
You are done in an hour or so. It is really addictive and it is a gateway exercise ;-)
It leads to longer triathlons.
The sprint tri is usually something like 400-800 meters of swimming
5-15 miles of cycling and 1-5 miles of running.
They vary from event to event, but they are a lot of fun and it doesn't feel like you are on an all day death march.
