Fish
Hi all, I realise that fish can be a healthy and low calorie choice for dinners etc. I personally love it and eat a fair amount of smoked fish and love a bit of sushi or sashimi.
I always check with this website though before buying fish. Not wanting to be preachy as I know sometimes budget considerations come into buying choices but its worth knowing how sustainable your fish is and this might help you make informed choices. Also sometimes the more obscure a fish is the cheaper it is!

Thanks for this! Monterey Bay Aquarium has a similar site, called Seafood Watch.

Nowadays wild salmon is so popular, and the population is seriously overfished. It's like people think that's the only healthy fish out there!
Personally I'm a big fan of whole trout and whole fresh sardines, which are also rich in omega 3 fatty acids and also happen to be sustainable and cheaper than salmon. Also there are plenty of non fish choices to increase your consumption of omega 3, such as ground flax seed (I put two tablespoons in my oatmeal) and walnuts.
