UK here too! Feel free to add! Your body has a daily calorie requirement in order to function properly and stay healthy. 1200cals, minimum. This is better made up of natural, organic, unprocessed wholefoods. Learning a little about nutrition and how to cook is a great step in the right direction for looking after your health. Don't be afraid to ask any questions! Good luck!

Thank you, this is a great help. My daily Calories are 1460 would this remain the same when I start exercising?

No, but since people can really overestimate the amount of calories they burn while exercising, it's a good idea to not try to "eat back" all those calories. For example, if you eat 1460 calories, then go on a late-night jog for 30 minutes and your exercise tracker/app/whatever says you burnt 200 calories, don't get home and eat 200 calories worth of something. It's likely that you might have actually only burned 100 or so. And really, you don't need to eat more just because you're exercising, unless you're exercising a lot and burning 500+ calories per day. Then you would want to eat some of those calories back. But generally, if you are just doing light jogs and walks, don't worry about eating back those calories, just take them as a bonus deficit for the day and stay at/under 1460.

If you stay under your calorie goal every day, assuming that you entered your height/weight/age correctly, it is physically impossible not to lose weight on this plan. Eating less calories than you're burning every day is the only way to lose weight, and this app exists just to make sure you're doing that consistently. The only possible way to not lose weight with this app, is to go over your calorie limit every day; i.e., not following the app's guidance.

Wow...thank you so much this is a great help. I've just taken my dogs on a power walk, so I wasn't sure about the calories I've burnt. Thank you

@amandaellis862 you don't need to eat all of your daily calories however you need to eat at least 1200 or so to give your body energy. Of course, 1200 healthy calories would be best. If you exercise and eat under your daily caloric intake, you will lose weight. Feel free to add me as you begin your journey!
