I've been researching on how much I need a day of protein, sugars, carbs, etc... Well according to MyFitness app, I should be eating double? I'm confused.

How close are you to your calorie goal? What is your calorie goal?

What's your height and weight? What weight loss rate have you chosen? What amounts of calories and nutrients is MFP giving you? What other sources of information have you used, and what numbers do they give you? Does the allowances include exercise or not?

5'2 190lbs with little excercise. Goal is to lose 40lbs at 1-2 lbs a week. MFP gave me, 1600 calories, protein 84g, fiber 25g, carbs 211, sugar 63, and fat 56. I pretty much Googled how much a woman should intake and they were a lot less than what I'm going off of. Although! I have stayed under my calories and the rest.

My calorie goal is 1600 but I usually only eat about 1000-1200

As a woman you can go as low as 1200 calories a day. If you aren't losing eating that little food it might be a problem weighing and portioning your food.

You can override MFP's recommendation and put in 1200 calories a day if you like.

Sugar and carbs are too high for the activity you've stated. Those can be adjusted.

If you put in 1200 calories a day MFP will set a protein/carb/fat goal based on a percentage of each macro. After logging all your food for a few days you should have an idea how close you are.

You can find pretty much anything you want on Google. Go with what MFP told you. Those numbers (protein, fat, carbs) don't add completely up, but 1600 calories sounds just fine, try to hit that amount every day, or on average per week. Weigh your food on an electronic food scale and compare every database entry you use with a reliable source (label for packaged items, USDA databse for produce).

I've lost 10 lbs so far in almost 5 weeks. I do cheat on the weekends when I'm out, but I'm getting better. I like to drink margaritas and chocolate martinis:-) I cut them out:-(
