How do you log your exercise when you are using a Fitbit?

I wear a Fitbit daily so if I participate in a Zumba class, my steps are logged but the calories burned don't really correspond to the effort put out for the class. I was wondering if most of you add the class as a separate entry on your Fitbit or just go with the step count. I can show 14000 steps on a day I have done a class but my calories burned for the day never reaches my target of 2300 unless I add the classes to my Fitbit. I want to be as accurate as possible. What do you do?

Anything step related is basically recorded by Fitbit so personally I wouldn't add the zumba here.
You can record your zumba workout on fitbit though and that will show perhaps a truer calorie burn for that.
The rule of thumb is log your food on mfp and your exercise on Fitbit.0 -
Before I upgraded to the Fitbit Charge HR, I would log my exercises and ignored the step calorie adjustment. The regular Fitbit doesn't take into account heart rate, but be careful MFP and Fitbit grossly overestimate calories burned (IMO).0

I removed the fitbit link / -calories. Any steps I do is just unrecorded extra burn. I log my actual cardio only.0

i wear a HRM that connects to my Fitbit so will override the Fitbit calorie count at that time for the more accurate one, otherwise i would log it into the Activities section on Fitbit so it will give you a higher calorie count I think it would be better to log it there than on MFP since the calories will probably be more accurate through Fitbit.0

Assuming your fitbit is not one with a heart rate monitor, you are supposed to log only activities that are not best measured by steps...for example, cycling should be logged. Your fitbit will override any "steps" that your tracker noted during the timeframe you participated in the exercise. It yours has a heart rate monitor then you shouldn't need to do anything.
Personally, I don't think I would log Zumba separately...your steps are probably the more conservative estimate of calorie burn and I prefer to stay on the more conservative side for that.0
