Before I started getting fit, I couldn't even walk to my campus without being worn out by the time I got there. Now I walk there almost daily.
I can run a 5K
Something I never thought I would be doing: I teach a fitness class at my university

I'm jealous. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and got my scuba gear after losing weight and reaching a healthy weight.
BUT... Two years after joining mfp and 18 months after starting my own version of C25K, I ran a 15K today and killed it And... it wasn't hard. And... miles 2-6 were all uphill. And... we still killed it. And... my 20 year old asked me to "slow down" and asked "why are we running so fast?" so there's that... Kinda proud of myself
And yes, I took that terrific kid out for breakfast. She's an awesome running buddy.11 -

to run! I used to get winded just running down the street. Now I can run almost a mile before stopping! I can't wait until that becomes 5 miles

I can walk for several miles without getting winded or suffering from pretty severe back/side/knee/ankle/foot pain. There's other stuff, but that's one of the most important ones for me, because when I started I couldn't even walk two blocks without feeling like I was going to die.4

Oh, same here! I was on the metro yesterday and was able to practically fly up the stairs! I mean, I got a little winded towards the end, but I was able to recover after a few seconds as opposed to the minutes it would have taken me before!
I can't wait to be able to climb several staircases easily!2 -
My arms used to be so weak, they would ache if I had to hang up a lot of clothes in my wardrobe. Thanks to strength training, I can actually USE them now!5

I can run a mile! Sometimes more, sometimes less (depending on the humidity hehe) but this is something I never dreamed I could do before. I'm also stronger and have better posture from strength training.2

Yesterday I did my fastest mile - 14 minutes! Even when I was in my teens and much thinner, I usually had a 24 minute mile.5
