Since you know you'll want a snack, plan out your calories so that you take that into account.

It doesn't matter when you eat your calories. As long as you don't have digestive issues, you can eat right up until you go to sleep.

How far over your calorie goal does the cereal and milk put you? It's really up to you. I'd choose something more voluminous for a similar calorie count or lower, earlier in the night-instead of waiting until I got hungry again. I just know I like to eat all night though.

If you like the cereal, and it's working, just figure out a way to make room for it in your calorie deficit. Otherwise if there's something else you'd rather have, figure out the calories for that snack and make the room for that. The timing doesn't matter. As long as you are under your calorie goal for the day, you will continue to lose weight.

I need to eat right before sleep too for the same reasons so I always leave about 200cals for that purpose. It I manage to get to sleep without them even better. Don't sweat over it ☺ I eat 2 slices of toast 50 cals each with low calorie powder peanut butter for 90cals. If it wasn't for this I would have cereal like you do and porrage oats in particular. Consider unsweetened almond milk as it is only 13cals per 100ml.

Although it's probably the protein and small amount of fat in the milk that are giving her the feeling of satiety so that she is sleeping comfortably through the night.

I have found that I can go most of the daytime without feeling hunger. But boy, do I want to eat at night. After trying the 3-5 meals per day and always feeling like I wanted more...I gave up! Now I eat all my calories from 5p-10p and I I love it. Please don't suffer, try different things until you find what works for you. Just stay honest with CICO. :)
