Friending and being friended

in Getting Started
As I was looking through the Getting started category, I noticed several people saying that they would like to be friended. A few said they didn't know how to do it. So I tried to friend someone and something happened where I got a reply back saying it was not sent. How do you friend someone? Thanks

    Click on the highlighted (blue) name under their photo, a small box will appear, again click on the blue highlighted name, their page will appear and you will see an area to click to become friends, another window appears, you can leave a message for them there and hit to add them. After they accept you it will take 24 hrs for you to be able to click "like" or "comment" under their status when it shows on your news feed. Hope this helps!
