Hashimoto's Disease and Nutrition: Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any insight on how to manage Hashimoto's with nutrition in addition to thyroid medication?

I have hashimotos for the last 10 years; and so does my mum :)
The absolute BEST thing you can do is exclude inflammatory foods like gluten, soy, sugar & dairy; though it's tricky..

I eat a LOT of fats from oil/avo, eggs and salad - I don't eat much meat; just to get enough protein.
A typical meal plan for me is 2 poached eggs on paleo toast with 1/2 avo; i have a black coffee with a tablespoon of coconut oil in it too.
Lunch is LOTS of roast veggies from the fridge (it's always stocked with roasted sweet potato, zucchini, carrots, greens etc); mixed with some roast chicken & fermented veggies, sprinkled with nuts & seeds & olive oil :)

Dinner maybe a baked sweet potato with slaw (avoid white potatoes), some pulled pork maybe; or steak and veg

I eat paleo chocolate treats for sugar :)

Look up autoimmune diets! They'll help you a lot!

I have Hashimoto's. I went gluten free. My bowels work way better now, I have no hives on my face, and the swelling went way down all over my body.
