OMG there's this recipe that calls for cream cheese mixed with jalapeños and cheddar cheese . and then roll them into balls . and put them inside balls of beef mince . and then flatten them on the grill to become a pattie . and then put it in a burger with whatever you like . O . M . G . i am so trying this next weekend :D

Here are a couple of recipes I do which are really tasty -

Spicy Turkey Burgers - serves 4
    450g turkey mince
    1tsp dark soy sauce
    1-2tbsp sweet chilli sauce
zest and juice of 1 lemon
    2 spring onions, finely chopped
Mix ingredients together and grill - 125 calories per burger

    Tasty Beefburgers - serves 4
500g lean beef mince 5% fat
1 medium onion, very finely chopped
    1 carrot, finely grated
    1tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    1tbsp tomato sauce
dash chilli sauce, according to taste
    1/2tsp dried oregano
    1/2tsp dried thyme
    ground black pepper
Mix ingredients together, shape into six patties and cook in a non-stick frypan for 5-6 minutes pressing down with a spatula

Regarding chips - I make potato wedges with the skin on and oven cook them after mixing with as little oil as I can get away with.

i tend to use sandwich thins instead of a bun so i can have more cheese. . . leaner hamburger or turkey burgers are nice. i cant get them to stick together but my husband seems to be able to fine. . i think its just me. also i love baked sweet potato fries.

I do lean ground beef, and use sandwich thin buns usually. Occasionally I'll sub the bun with a grilled portobello mushroom. So good!

I eat the combination of neat that tastes the best to me and my family-usually usually half 80/20 ground chuck, and half 90/10 ground sirloin. I mix some spices, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and a bit of barbecue sauce. I often make skin on oven fries as described by others on this thread, or sweet potato fries. If the bun is not a special one, I forgo those calories, or a get a really tasty bun and make room.

I've been wanting to make this but SD won't let me get ground chicken. Don't know how good it would be with beef buttttt

Naked burger! Home made burger or nice bit of steak on top of slice of halloumi. With sweet potato wedges (baked). Mmm making me hungry >:)>:)

I will mix ground chicken with xlean ground beef - use only one half of the burger bun, do roasted cauliflower instead of chips, make smaller patties etc - or just have one regular burger and the other one in a lettuce leaf. Just determine what it is about the burger and chips that you absolutely LOVE, and tinker with the rest to reduce the calorie (or fat, or carb) count.

I will have a turkey, salmon, or bison burger with a sandwich thin, small whole wheat burger bun or lettuce/cabbage wrap. I usually eat with sliced onion, mustard, bbq sauce, non-fat tzatziki, and/or now probably Bolthouse Farms Cilantro and Avocado dressing. I like Cheddar and Sour Cream Baked Lays or a plain baked potato with my burger. I now take a bag of C&SC Baked Lays when I know I will be eating fast food so I won't be tempted to order the fries. I went from eating fries all the time, to now maybe 5-7 times a year.
