Hanging post-baby tummy skin/fat

I was hoping some moms out there could answer a question for me. I have had 2 babies (c-sections) and have the hanging piece of skin/fat from being pregnant, which makes up the lower partof my front junk. Does it ever lessen in "hanging-ness" or tighten up as I tone and lose fat? Or are there any helpful hints to work on it?
I am okay if it never leaves as it's a reminder of being pregant and my super fabulous girls, but would be stoked if I could lessen the hang of my front junk.

if it's the skin from the actual C-sections you're likely stuck with it. If you lose fat and tone underneath it might lay flatter but I've found that that baby tummy is the hardest thing to deal with. I figure I'm just saving up for a tummy tuck for that part no matter what (LOL)0

i know that the way i lost my tummy was first to eat better. i followed the abs diet and it helped a lot. then i did kettlebells, jillian michaels 6 week 6pk and HIIT running it helped toned my tummy. the point is you can not spot reduce but tonning all around helps. kettlebells are awesome because you are working your tummy the entire time. for hanging skin i dont know maybe using lotions with collegen can help tighten it.0

I've lost fat and what's left is loose skin - ok, and still a little fat. It doesn't hang as low but still looks pretty wrinkly and sad. My belly button also appears to have an eyelid. Lovely!0

You can lessen it, but chances are it will never be COMPLETELY flat. The muscles and nerves have been cut through, so it's hard to completely undo that afterwards. HOWEVER, I had a c-section with twins, and mine has significantly decreased with diet & exercise. It's still there, but nothing "hangs over" & you can't tell in photographs or clothing. Naked, you can see the scar & the little pouch above, but seriously, how many people ever see me naked?
Keep workin' at it, it will go.
Pictures of mine are here.

I have this and I can tell you it is getting better. The belly and my inner/outer thighs seem to be the last place the fat wants to come off so it just make take time. I've been at this pretty hard since the beginning of March and have lost just over 20 lbs. Even though I have more work to do, I already see an improvement in my belly.
I also have had 2 C-sections (my son was over 10lbs at birth!) so I know how frustrating it is. It will never be perfect and I'm okay with that, I would just like to not have that hanging over you speak of.0 -
My doc told me to learn to love it...i've had 3 by c-section and been told its scar tissue. It will flatten a little...but there will always been that little something there.0

there's definitely a difference between an little extra pooch of fat and actual stretched out skin. sorry to say, the only thing that will get rid of the skin is a tummy tuck. exercise can definitely tone and help the area appear smaller, but if it was so stretched out that it is skin is hanging I doubt that will ever go away with out surgery.....0

Well after four babies (at that time) and all the exercising and eating right there were two columns of fat running down each side of ab walls, a separation in my fashia about an inch and a half, and the excess skin could be pulled below the pudendum...I hated it! SOOO, I saved up and had my TUMMY TUCK. OMG what a difference. Well, got pregnant again this last time...and thank GOD my tummy tuck held...it was nothing but GOD cause everything I read sure said I would have to have it repaired...but I was tight and could hardly breathe at the end and thank God she came 2.5wks early cause I don't think the sutures would have held.
So unfortunately, all the excess skin and sometimes some of the fat never disappears without a little help.0 -
that's amazing yours held up! I had a tummy tuck and breast lift after my two boys, and have recently been wondering what a third booger-eater would do to it all ($25000 down the drain?) - don't think I'm brave enough to find out, but I'm happy to hear it worked for you!0

I second the winking belly button! So long belly ring!
Unfortunately I was told by a dr that if you have your baby more than 9 months ago and and you're within 15 lbs of your pre-preg weight you're pretty much looking at the stomach youll have for the rest if your life, barring a tummy tuck. Like other posters said, losing some fat and toning the muscles underneath the skin have helped it lie a little flatter for me, but the skin is still a saggy mess.0 -

I don't blame you. I wouldn't give it a try. This last baby was a total surprise. I prayed so hard to God to hold the tummy tuck and I know for a fact He did it for me! My tummy was rock hard at 9 mos...it was almost scary. I totally tied those tubes because my hubby looks at me and I am pregnant...even at close to 40.0 -
