I'm into 3 day of my P90X routine and I was wondering if you follow a scheduled routine or do you make your own schedule as to which DVD you do on a particular day of the week--- I got confused with day 1 (chest and back) and did shoulders and arms... and I really prefer to do stretch and abs together on the 3 because right now I'm soooo sore and stiff from walking as well, and I would like to do those two routines together on more than 1 day of the week... so my question is does it really matter on the order of workout we do each week, and do anyone just focus on a certain area of the body only while doing P90X?

There is a routine that you follow. There are 2 different versions. There is lean and classic. Feel free to buddy me and send me a message and i can help you out.0

There is a schedule that comes with the DVD's. It can be started on any day of the week that works for you.
It starts with weights & abs, cardio, weights and abs, cardio/yoga, weights and abs, cardio, rest/stretch
I made Sunday's my rest days my first round but am using Saturday's this time. Whatever works for you will help you succeed.
If you need the worksheets I can get them to you.0 -
Did you check out the book that comes with it? It gives three different schedules.0

Did you buy it from BeachBody? You should have received the calendar telling you what to do on each day. You should follow the program as directed in the guides in order to get the best results.0

I followed the Classic schedule and it worked out very well. The whole point of P90X is muscle confusion. Working out different muscle groups on particular days and then giving them time to rest and heal as you move on to the next muscle group. Try to stick with the schedule for the first round. After that, if you feel you want to create your own routine, you will have all the tools to put together something that will work better for you.0

Do the 90 days as they outline. Then build your own routine from there.
It is a great process....0 -
Here is the Classic schedule: http://www.p90xworkoutschedule.com/0

The classic routine's schedule has strength and cardio alternating. I think it's important to at least keep the strength training days separated so you give your muscles a chance to recuperate. You also probably wouldn't want to to Plyometrics the day before Legs & Back for the same reason. The ab workout is also every other day so you give your ab muscles a rest. Sometimes due to my personal schedule I have to switch things around but I always try to keep those strength days separate.0

Thanks y'all. I guess I'll follow the schedule that came with the package. I was hoping I could alter the schedule by building my own routine--- already I'm not liking the shoulders and arms (gawd soo many different forms of push-ups and today I'm hurting) but I will do it because I'm definitely feeling the burn.0
