Weigh In Time

What time in the week do people weight themselves? I've been using MFP for 4 weeks today & have been weighing myself on a Monday evening before I eat dinner.
Today I got on the scales & am 1lb up from last week where I'd reached 6lbs off. I haven't stuck to plan every day this past week so while it's disheartening to have gained for the 1st time, it's also to be expected.
It just got me to thinking about if I should stick to the same time each week? Should it be before or after meals or does it not make a difference?

It should be at the same time every week if possible. Most people I know of (including myself) weigh first thing in the morning and naked. In the evening you'll be heavier because presumably you've had food and drink during the day and sounds like you're probably wearing clothes too so you have the weight of whatever you're wearing added too,0

I weigh in every morning, I am looking at downward trends not the little ups and downs of body weight.0

I weigh 930am every Monday x0

I was thinking that maybe it'd be a little better to do it in the morning! I do feel incredibly full up right now which may not have helped0

I weigh most mornings, but log on Mondays.
I weigh after I shower too. For some reason, I lose like 1/2 a pound showering? lol0 -
What kind of things do you experience weighing every day? Is there much fluctuation? I'm always intrigued to do it but am worried I'll get disheartened!0

Just weigh first thing in the morning. That's about the only way to ensure some amount of consistency.0 -

Yes, there is fluctuation. If you're worried you'll get disheartened by it, don't do it. To get any real results, you'd have to do it for a while and see where the trend goes.
I can personally have a rough night (major sleep issues) and get 2lbs more than the day before even if my diet and exercise has been on point. It happens.
Different thread with different topic, but it's relevant and this poster did his/her work:kshama2001 wrote: »I weigh every day so as not to get bothered about little fluctuations. I just pay attention to the overall trend.0 -
I try to weigh every day, and I log my weight in Fitbit, which forwards the info to MFP and trendweight.com.
Trendweight creates a curve/line based on previous weights so I have a better idea if I'm gaining, maintaining or losing.
Take a look. This is my overall graph for last year:
Here's January 2016:
The higher weights don't bother me because I can look at the line over time and see it going down
