How do you stay below that? I put an apple into my food diary and it has 34 grams. Does anyone stay below their required sugar content for the day?

I typically stay below 24g a day but I don't really eat fruit because there is so much sugar in it!

Fruit sugars are not bad as they are naturally occurring! You're really trying to moderate PROCESSED carbohydrates, those are the biggies. Fruits good, cake bad.

Unless you have underlying health issues pertaining to sugar I'd not worry about the sugar from fruit. I ignore it and just watch my added sugars via processed fods.

In my opiniion if it is sugar from fresh fruit is it ok,,,if it is sugar from processed food try to stay away....
We have to eat friut and veggies to stay healthy so we are gonna go over our sugar,,i'm over mine almost daily but it is from fruit...and i am still losing...

Humans were built for veggies and fruit more than anything else. I would not limit those at all.

I can NEVER stay below my sugar goals -- I try to keep them relatively low, but it's very true that natural sugar and processed sugar are different.
