Hi. I'm SJ. I rapidly gained weight during my last pregnancy. Unfortunately I miscarried at 13 weeks in January but am ready to tackle my weight gain and poor food habits. I find it hard to plan my eating and fit exercise in to a busy day. I'm a mum to a 6 year old, have arthritis in my spine which causes some pain as well as Achilles tendonotomy, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder.....!

I'm sorry for your loss, miscarriage is so hard.

It sounds like the best news for you is, you absolutely do NOT have to exercise in order to lose weight! Exercise is for fitness, for better health, but strictly speaking you can't out-exercise your diet. In other words, as long as you achieve a calorie deficit by eating less than your body needs, you will lose weight.

Welcome, and good luck from one Sarah to another :)

Thanks! I'm feeling quite encouraged but know it's about consistency too. One week doesn't break bad habits. The community support here and ideas....I think it will be a great help.
