-
me too. i took the assessment test last night. I want to try a little of it tonight. But I can let my official start date be on monday. Im in.0

I started it at 204 pounds and am currently in phase 2 of my second round. If I can do it so can you! Don't let it intimidate you! It is hard work but just modify the things you aren't able to do yet and work your way up. It's important to keep the logs that they suggest because when you look back at where you started you'll be amazed at how far you've progressed! There are lots of people on here who have done it or are doing it so you'll find lots of support!0

I'm in. I did it before my wedding and it really did get me in great shape. Sad to say, I stopped after so I gained it back. Im in for round 2 as well.0

Finished my first round on 6/18. Started my second round on 6/20. Feel free to add me for advice, answers, information, etc. I'm a pretty good motivator too, or so I've been told.
Good luck everyone. Push play and bring it!0 -
I'll actually complete Phase I on the 28th. I bought the program because I wanted the results, but I let it intimidate me, too. Finally, I just set a D Day and pushed play. Last night I completed week 3 and I'm loving it!
Feel free to add me if you'd like.0 -
I actually just started P90X (Lean) a couple days ago, it's great! Fun ~ Intense, yes, but doable and addictive! >:]
Good luck!0 -
Wow! I wasnt sure anyone would want to join! That was easy!
I'll add you all now, and hopefully we can get a decent thread going here to keep each other accountable! YEAH! im actually excited now haha
I have found some really great calendars online and wasnt planning on printing out the reps/tracking worksheets, but maybe I will, just to see how far I can push myself. Thanks for the tips!
I plan to workout Monday-Saturday, with Sunday being my rest day. I dont have a pull-up bar yet. Any suggestions/recommendations for where to buy a good one? Or will any brand do?

I finished a round in February and have been doing a Hybrid of P90X/Insanity but changed to Classic P90X this week. Starting Month 3 of P90X classic in 2 weeks. I am going to be starting a full round of P90X classic again in late August but will check in here. It's a great program and you WILL see results depending on how hard you are willing to work.
The GREAT thing about this program is you move at your own level. Tony shows lot's of ways to modify so it can be for everyone as long as you are self motivated to bring it 6 days a week you should be okay0 -
Love to join! I’m doing P90x lean! I definitely would lvoe to give/have support!0
-
How do we log in p90x in exercise?0
-
I am! I'm doing classic but ill be running on the cardio days instead of doing p90x. I'm super excited for it!0
-
I've started it since buyig it last summer 3 times, but I have never finished it but that stops this Monday because I plan on starting again and completing it. I even plan on taking the DVDs with me on vacation next month.0

Sunday is a good rest/stretch day for me too.
The As-Seen-On-TV pull-up bar is good. It's sold in most stores that sell the As-Seen-On-TV stuff. I didn't have a door near my workout area (garage) so I went to the closest sports store and bought a bar that hangs from the ceiling. There are a lot of different choices out there.I plan to workout Monday-Saturday, with Sunday being my rest day. I dont have a pull-up bar yet. Any suggestions/recommendations for where to buy a good one? Or will any brand do?

Oooh, that sounds like a good plan! I was thinking I would miss running, so maybe I'll do running instead of the cardio. Although Ive heard the plyometrics dvd is rough...so maybe i'll skip that one haha
No, no, no! I'll do them all....or I'll at least TRY them all and do what works best.
My hesitation and apprehension are slooooowly dissipating Excited to really get started and jump in feet first!!0 -
You'll probably love the Yoga, but I can't stand it and usually do another day of Kenpo instead.0
-
Well I started this week 6/20. This will be round two but like starting over since it has been over a year since the last round. The whole yoga disc is definitly long for me. I generally don't have 90 minutes to get a work out in. I really did like how it loosened up the back though.0
-
I did, and continue to do, running prior to all days I do P90X. It is really important to have a HRM for all exercises so you know how many calories you need to eat back.0

I'm on day 29 but wanted to say that I too was super intimidated. I feared quitting. It looked hard and come to find out it is hard, it's work but I love it!!! Sometimes I have more energy than other days but overall I'm motivated even more today than I was on day 1.
I would definately keep up with your worksheets. Don't forget to do measurements and before pics. I even ended up making a binder for my p90x with my worksheets, daily food logs, calendar/schedule, stats spreadsheet, etc. I find that if I'm organized I don't feel overwhelmed.0 -
I'm in too!! I am also very intimitaded Im hoping its just me lol me and my hubby will be starting Monday 6/27 as well! Add me if you would like! Let's do this!0

Were we separated at birth!? I literally just searched the house for an extra binder or folde I could dedicate to P90x haha! Glad Im not the only girlw ho brings organization to EVERY aspect of her life! haha
I have a HRM that I am addicted to. I wouldnt know what to do without it! How have you veteran P90x-ers adjusted your calories during the 90 days? I currently eat my BMR (1550) plus my exercise calories (well, as many as I can without stuffing myself.) I have a history of not eating enough when I workout, and then I end up gaining weight back when I stop whatever regimen or routine I was doing.
Have yall seen this link? http://www.getfitwithgrav.com/downloads I printed the calendar and worksheets (to add to my binder!) and it already has me pumped up to start on Monday!
I am a stay-at-home-mom to a 2 year old daughter who still naps (hallelujah!) but Im tired of wasting her 2 hour nap on the couch or surfing the internet. Im excited tospend an hour working out, showering, and re-energizing to match her afternoon energy burst!0 -
Yeppers thats the schedule I have. I also have a list of the p90x foods I can have along with a daily log that tells me how much of each I can have.

My binder is preetttty with flowers and funny pictures I printed out in it! haha I have a picture of all these bad foods like pizza, burgers, donuts that says NO MORE with a sad face on it.. then a pic of healthy foods with a smiley face.
I have to keep it interesting!!!0 -

BeachBody sells a version of the door frame pullup bar.
Or, if you are using resistance bands, you can also create a set up to loop them through a ceiling or door attachment to simulate the same movement. The bands are a good way to keep up with the workouts if you can't physically do pull ups.0 -
I don't have a bar but my hub does. They have the iron gym ones for like $15-$20.
What we did was screw hooks on the ceiling and thats how I use my bands.0 -
I'm in! I was planning on starting on Monday also! I am happy to see I am not the only one. I made it through the first 5 weeks of P90X last time but it became hard to keep up with my wedding being in the middle of it. But this time I have no distractions. Can't wait to start!0
-
I just started and I am on day 3... I am very sore right now, but i'm loving it!0
-
I have had it on a shelf for over a year now. Wife gave it to me for Valentines day present in 2010. What was she trying to say? lol
I cannot start on Monday but will join in on Tuesday. It does look intimidating. Definately will be modifyng the moves to start.
How do you calculate the calories burned so you can add to your diary? Just using ellipticle and treadmill is easy to add.0
