How to turn iPhone steps off?

The last 2 days, my diary has been making adjustments based on my iPhone steps. How do I turn this off? I don't always carry my iPhone with me, so it is an inaccurate measure.
Also, I just bought a Fitbit Charge HR today, so obviously I want to use the calorie adjustments MFP makes for it, not my iPhone steps.
Please help!

On your iPhone MFP app, go to "More" down the bottom at the right, then "Apps and Devices".
Then click "My Apps" and unlink the Health app.1 -

I just worked it out. In Steps in the "More" list, it was set to iPhone, instead of Fitbit.1

I went from using my iPhone Health app to a Fitbit Charge HR in October, and am very happy.
I found the Fitbit Users group extremely helpful.

Thanks for that. I will join the group.
I'm glad you have had good success with it. I have had a flex, but never wore it. I'm loving the HR so far!0 -
I am having a similar issue. Myfitness pal is only logging the steps from my iPhone instead of my Fitbit, I went to unlink it and its not even linked. Its just automatically doing it, and I have no idea on how to have it sync only with my fitbit. I too, don't carry my phone with me everywhere, and its saying I onlt have 788 steps currently, when I have over 3000 on my fitbit. Anyway to help? Will I have to delete and re-install the app on my phone?
Edit: I just changed my steps in MFP to sync with Fitbit (like Lees75 did above), and now it says I have zero steps. Its not syncing0
