Hi All
Just getting over stomach flu.
Been ill since Sunday and only got my appetite back last night. Couldn't eat anything until Monday night so went nearly 48hrs on water. I managed to get back on track yesterday by forcing myself to eat and my appetite came back with avengence last night and I'm now constantly hungry. This may seem a dumb question, but am I this hungry because of not being able to eat Sunday & Monday or should I be consuming more cals while my body's trying to recover???
To be honest I can't remember a time when I was so ill I couldn't eat anything, Lol. Im on 1590 cals a day to lose 1lb a week. Does anyone have any ideas? I want to get back to full health ASAP but I don't want to ruin my progress.
Many Thanks

Generally your body will need more calories when sick or recovering, or "fighting something off". Since you haven't been eating, you may see a slight rebound effect with your weight when you eat again (since you prob lost a couple pounds while sick), but it's unavoidable. I say eat a little more than normal to help your body recover. Your body is trying to recoup the lost cals.0

IMO you should eat a little more, and eat what your body wants for a few days. Then get back on track.
It cannot be right to deprive yourself of the tools and building blocks of life, when your body is trying to recover. It's got enough on it plate, so to speak.0 -
Thats what I think but I'm just worried I'll go overboard as seriously I could eat all day long!!!! Lol0
