I have had success losing weight. But there is always something I let derail my progress.
Need to start again but can't get all the failures out of my head.

I think we fail because we want it to happen overnight and we make goals that are unrealistic but we did not put the weight on overnight. I too have these thoughts of past failures in the back of my head. I have lost count of the times I have started only to fail. I would plan to go on a diet and lose 90 pounds in 5 months, usually the New Year’s Resolution so we look good come June. I would be hyped and ready to start. Then I would have so much anxiety thinking about failing that I would never start or I would start and last a few weeks. I would eat myself out of my anxiety only to become depressed and eat even more.

So this time I said, “Not a diet!”

I planned and made a weight lost motivation board, Pinterest has great ideas. I will not try to lose all 90 pounds in 5 months. I will not go all out and workout 24/7. Not possible. I will make a life change and slowly lose the weight over time, a year or more. I have even counted for days that I will fail but I will pick myself up and keep going. I have made food changes and cut out soda. I log in fitness pal no matter what passes my lips and most of all I have started moving 30 minutes a day 5 times a week. I walk. I jog. I do light weights. I take the stairs. I love step aerobics and have found Jenny Ford on u-tube. Love her. I move as much as possible. I now think of all the benefits of sticking to my new life change. My all over, daily, body pain is gone. My ankles are no longer swollen and I feel like I can rule the world after a good workout. Best of all my clothes are falling off me. Jan 6, 2016 243 pounds Today 224 pounds Goal 155. Jan 6, 2016 fitted size 20 today 16W. Goal 11/12.

We all fail. Everyone does. It's ok. But it's what we learn from the failures. Then you get back up, fix the error and try again. And if that doesn't work, try again. You only truly fail when you stop trying!

Ok, so this is a love song...but you need to love yourself enough to take another run at it and keep reminding yourself that you are worth the effort every day until you get to the other side! You CAN do this!

I have an extreme fear of failure. I get very discouraged when I have a bad day of eating and just throw any progress I made previously away. I have to tell myself that I am making small changes so that its a life style and not a "diet" I am a newlywed and I want to grow old with my husband and not be tired and sick all the time. I'm trying, but I know I will still need encouragement to make it.
