lost 4 lbs in my first 12 days

I have always been athletic and active, but working at an IT help desk for the last 5 years, I've gotten into some bad eating habits.
My wife and I have had 2 kids within the last 3 years and that seemed to limit my sports activities and my active lifestyle.
I started eating whatever I wanted, mainly because it was convenient, cheap, easy and fast.
I really wanted to make a change, and get healthy, anyway I could. Mainly by eating less.
12 days ago, a friend mentioned this site to me, to help with calorie tracking. Not only has this site helped me with tracking my calorie intake, it has helped motivate me to work out, play sports, and become active again. Nothing excites me more than to enter activities I have completed, into this site. Also, when 'bad' food is around, i know how bad I will feel when I enter it into MFP, so i say "No" and reach for something healthy.
And when I feel discouraged, there are tons of great profiles and comments to browse through to see that I can stay on top of things.
I would like to report, that in my first 12 days I have lost 4 pounds. To me, that's 1/3 of my original goal of weight that I wanted to lose. So I think i want to up my goal and focus on losing more.
I know it takes hard work and determination, those 12 days weren't easy, but I know this site and the friendly users, will keep me on point!
Have a good rest of the week, and thank you for reading!
