Try this recipe out for breakfast, you would just need to change the honey with brown sugar.

Here are a few of my favorite lunches/dinners. I often tweak ingredients to make recipes fit my needs - sneaking in extra vegetables wherever possible and eliminating or substituting ingredients to meet my preferences. So all of these recipes are starting points. You can browse around the different sites that these recipes come from - most have other inspiring ideas. Also, I like the website Finding Vegan for inspiration, but be warned that there are many less than healthy recipes showcased there - you have to be selective.

If you're morally opposed to harming animals, stay vegan.
Otherwise I would highly recommend going that light weight Vegetarian.
Vegan groups are very nasty, I've even seen it towards other Vegans.
Not saying all Vegans or Vegan groups are nasty, but there's no reason to create more artificial limitations to your eating habits unless you just feel that honey is slavery, and can't partake in that sort of "atrocity" anymore. Be careful about going to Vegan. I'm not here to attack anyone, I'm just sharing my experiences trying to get help from Vegans to eat healthier, and just finding that they are too extreme for me to try and be around.0 -

My boyfriend is vegan so I have learned some good recipes without missing good flavor!
Chickpeas seasoned how you want cooked in a little olive oil with brown rice
Vegan tacos, mix black beans and taco seasoning and fry like you would beef, I also heat up vegetarian refried beans
Vegan chili is the best thing ever! You can get so creative, I use five cans of beans in a crock pot, lots of fiber and protein!

You can eat anything you ate as a meat eater. You just need to learn to substitute eg. Sub mince meat for lentils, chicken for tofu, chia seeds instead of eggs.

Disliking vegans is a very good reason to avoid vegans. But it isn't a great reason to continue using animal products.
If you don't care for vegans, simply avoid them. But it shouldn't influence how you decide to treat animals -- that's a whole other issue.0 -

Well, there are always those radical 'fringe' attitudes/view points in just about any group. From religion to health. There always seem to be those individuals that take it too far. One just has to look at this site to find LOTS! Unfortunate for the integrity of any group.0 -

I recommend learning to make your own seitan unless you are low carb/gluten free then avoid this

I find that baking it turns out a lot better (Google baking directions) and it's a versatile recipe you can change up seasoning based on what you use it for. It can be used as a meat substitute for a lot dishes0 -

I know many vegan and vegetarians...they are some of the nicest and most caring people on the planet. I hate when people generalize.
I cook vegetarian and vegan frequently...probably a bit less since I started working out...but then I just make a meat protein on the side. I never put meat with vegetables...and rarely with the starch/grain...so it is not a challenge.
Maybe if I change my mind on the use or protein shakes (working for healthcare manufactures, I just don't trust them...), then I could move back to less meat.0 -

For Christmas and Easter fasts (lent). My family upholds a 48 day animal product fast before each for a total of 96 days a year.0
