I usually get on average about 6 hrs of sleep a day go to bed at 1230 up at 630 usually. Would it be more beneficial to get 7 hrs or even 8? Or is that additional hr or two insignificant?
I workout everyday at least cardio.

Yes! Sleep has a major effect on appetite, leptin, ghrelin, overall mood, energy, recovery....etc!0

It could be helpful. I'm ok on 6-7 hours of sleep a night, my husband does better on 7-8 hours. Getting enough good sleep is crucial to good health in general.0

Maybe I'll try and kick it up to 7 hrs a day see how that helps. My weight loss seems to be going fairly well so far 10 lbs in 3.5 weeks.0

Seeing as how I feed my tired vs feeding my hunger- yes!0

I definitely see a difference in weight when I sleep well vs when I don't. Also, it makes me feel like garbage and I don't want to go for my walk. 0 0

I work out better when I've had more sleep. But 6 hours is what I've found to be the minimum for me. However, less than 7-8 and I might be dealing with hunger issues as well.
So maybe not directly, but indirectly yes and yes for overall health.0

Pretty much exactly what I would say.0

I average 4.5 - 5 hours a night and I have dropped 32 pounds since the beginning of the year. Doesn't seem to affect me at all.0

My sleep varies a lot. I try to get 7 or 8 hours a night, but I often don't get more than 6. Sometimes I suffer from insomnia (2-3 hours per night for a stretch) and I have never found it to affect my weight loss. I feel terrible when it happens and my workouts probably aren't as effective, but I've never noticed a change in weight loss itself in any of these categories.0
