Food idea for low carb low fat diet

Hi guys, I am trying to cut down body fat..try to consume 193g protein, 95g carbs per day

Any idea in food that's high in protein, low in carb and fat . thanks

    Eating less than you burn will cut down body fat.

    egg whites are a staple for me. Having said that if you want to lose body fat all you have to do is listen to Orphia, eat less than you burn, this will cut down body fat. Even if you eat high carb, high fat you will still cut down body fat as long as your total calories are less than what your body burns.

    Low carb, low fat won't get you there any faster than just plain old "low calorie"

    Low carb diets, are supposed to be high in fat, not protein. How much do you weigh? Most studies suggest that 1g of protein per lb of lean body mass (not weight) is sufficient for muscle retention while losing weight.


    Meats, fish, veggies, low gi fruits, full fat dairy are yoru choices for LCHF

    So just Protein then? That wont end well

    You could eat nothing but protein and you wont lose a pound ( except for some water weight) unless you eat at a deficit. Carbs fuel your workouts, fats are necessary for your hormones ( think insulin and testosterone) proteins are your building blocks for repair and growth. You need all three in balance. To answer your question; chicken, fish and veggies. Protein shakes have the highest ratio of protein to carbs/ fats of most foods.

    You can fuel your workouts with carbs, fats, or protein. Eating more protein than you need for the amino acids needed for maintenance, growth and repair is a very expensive way to get the same effect you'd get from eating carbs, via gluconeogenesis.
