What is your current weight and goal?

Weight loss should be "reasonable" to reduce the risks of ... well, a lot of things (from poor nutrition to lean mass loss to thyroid issues, etc. etc...)

If you keep it reasonable, one can ignore BMR. But it also suggest that you aren't very active and should consider increasing that...

1lb/wk about 500 cals per day.

If you're looking to drop a pound per week, subtract 500 from your TDEE. So, 1983 calories per day.

So at around 200 you can initially work with a 500-800 cal deficit if you like and reduce it some as you get closer to goal. Remember to recalc your TDEE with every 5-10 lbs lost.

Yes - in the 1800 to 2000 cals from current. Add a little activity if you can.

If you are working off a TDEE calculator you have already included your exercise in those calculations, so no you wouldn't eat them back.

If you are using MFP to calculate your deficit, you do eat them back.

    Cheers, h.
