Does anyone know how myfitnesspal tracks calcium, 1gram would equal how many mg's? 1,000, right? But that doesn't really make sense for how it has been tracking it on my diary.

    The Daily Reference Intakes are set by the US FDA guidelines and are based on a 2000 daily caloric diet for the average person. Not all micronutrients are required to be reported on US Nutrition Facts labels; but if they are reported, these are the daily RDIs the percentages per serving are to be based on.
    (iv) The following RDI's and nomenclature are established for the following vitamins and minerals which are essential in human nutrition:

    Vitamin A, 5,000 International Units
    Vitamin C, 60 milligrams
    Calcium, 1,000 milligrams
    Iron, 18 milligrams

    Most of us get too much calcium, and not enough magnesium and vitamin D.
