I was stationed in Hawaii. During the rainy season (winter on the mainland). The water temperature was a tad on the cool side.

Oh heck no! Even though I live near the ocean, I'll stick with the pool. There's no creatures in there :worried:

I'm a big fan of open water swimming, but being that I'm in the UK and the air temperature today was between 4-7C, there no way anyone would get me into a lake or the sea in these temperatures... Not even in a full length neoprene wettie.

My OH is a fell runner... He'll be up some mountain in shorts in winter. I think you're both nuts. ;):p

My son paddleboards and bodyboards all year round as much as he can but in a THICK wetsuit. Now I know Cornwall seas are clear but they are still not warm. I can't even contemplate it brrr

When I was young and foolish I spent a lot of time in the Cornish sea. Brrrr
I am older and wiser now and spend my time in the Caribbean Sea. Ahhhh
    So much more enjoyable.

    Hope you enjoyed the swim.

    Cheers, h.
