I have stayed in my target calorie numbers for a full month! (except for 2 days) And zumba twice a week and run twice a week! I only lost 3 pounds. I am over weight and have over 20 lbs to loose so whats the deal???

It could be that your body has simply adjusted to your routine. Shake it up. Increase your calories for a week and/or do a different work out. Couldn't hurt to try! Good luck!

You're doing great! At 20 pounds overweight, you really don't have that much to lose relatively speaking (I had 80+!). 3 pounds a month means you are losing more than .5 per week, which is still a good rate. I think any loss is better than no loss or a gain. So congrats on the 3 pounds!!!

I only lost about 4 lbs my first month. Frustrating at first but then I thought about it and it's 1 lb per week which is the right way to do it! So, even if it takes 4-5 months to lose the weight I want to lose - so be it. I think we want immediate gratification so it's so easy to be hard on ourselves. I bet if you keep it up....you will lose the weight you want.

Remember, slow and steady wins the race!!

How is your sodium level? I learned that one the hard way. Also make sure you drink lots and LOTS of water.
Also you might try opening up your food diary so folks can have a look and give advice. Hang in there, they weight will come off.

    Hi there-

Try adding some strength training to your routine. It doesnt need to be massive weights. I have hand weights that are only 3 pounds each, and they seem to work me out just fine, I can feel a burn. Let us take a look at your food diary, maybe we can see something in there we can help you with.

Hang in there! You are doing great! You will start seeing pounds and inches disappear in no time.
