What's best?

Hello everybody, I've been discussing with my girlfriend on the different places to go and have a not only decent meal, but low in calories and fat. Does anyone have any suggestions? If you do please inbox with your favorite places to have those types of meals or just personal suggestions on where to go in order to have these types of meals.

Most chain restaurants will post the nutrition information of their meals online, so you can look them up and determine what fits into your goals

I used to dine @ Applebees because they had a good light meal menu. I haven't been there in a while so I'm not sure if they still do. I also suggest you ask the waiter if the restaurant would cater to your needs. Like please no salt? no butter things like that. Many restaurants would do this for their customers. Keeps us updated if you were successful in finding a place and how it went for you. Best of luck and keep on making healthy choices!

Low fat was a 30 year failed experiment that led to the current obesity epidemic. We now know that high fats with low carb and moderate protein is the much healthier diet. try macros 15c/22p/63f

Panera has got some pretty good options, as much as I dislike their new marketing campaign.

Find a good Vietnamese restaurant, and get a giant bowl of pho. If you have room for more calories than that, look at the spring rolls - the kind wrapped in rice paper, NOT the fried ones (unless you have enough calories for those, then go for it!).

My go to meal recently has been the Subway chopped salads. I control what goes in it and it is a satisfing quantity of veggies.

I like Panera. They're everywhere, have unlimited coffee, and have lots of really yummy and pretty healthy options. They even have a gluten free cookie now!

Chipotle is also good if you want something even less formal. Zoe's Kitchen (if you're in the southeast like me) has really good, really fresh greek-style options.

Oh, and Ruby Tuesday's is always great! A something from their light and fit menu paired with he salad bar is a great option!

In most restaurants, I find that a steak with veg is a pretty good choice for protein, iron, and not bad on calories for how much you get to eat. I look up the nutritional info before I go, preselect, and then don't even look at the menu once I get there, so I won't be tempted by the amazing pictures!
