I started 25 days ago, taking 12,00 calories a day. And exercise with personal trainer twice a week and on my own twice a week. I have only lost 6 pounds.

6lbs is an awesome loss in just over 3 weeks, you are doing great! Its not recommenced to loose any more than 2lbs a week. Unfortunately its a slow process.

Try and take some photos and measurements to keep track of your weight loss instead on relying on the scales you'll be amazed at the difference.

Thank you very much. I guess for some reason I thought it was going to go faster. I am just trying so hard. Love this app!

Keep going, you are doing really good! Weight goes on at the same pace as it comes off.

What she said, you didn't gain the weight you're trying to lose that quickly, so you won't lose it that quickly either. It won't be long before you start noticing little changes and those changes will get more and more frequent.

Stefanny is right, you don't want to lose more than abt two lbs a week. Choose an eating plan you can maintain for the rest of your life; not something that works till you reach your goal then to back to old eating habits. I lost 12 lbs and I eat dk choc chips every night after dinner; I just keep them as part of my eating plan. Keep things you enjoy eating as part of ypur plan (pizza, cake, etc.) and you're more likely to keep the weight off. Good luck! B)

6lbs really is a great loss in 25 days so please be patient with yourself. It's not a race it's about the long term goals and maintenance of such. I agree with @Stefanny91 it's not all about the scales and actual weight, you'll be surprised by the change in measurements and how you look so pictures and measuring are just as important.

    Good luck, you're doing great!

A pound of fat is 3500 calories. Six pounds is 21000 calories. Over 25 days, that means you've been on a deficit of 840 calories per day. Sounds pretty good to me.

If you're on 1200 calories per day (assuming that's accurate), that suggests your maintenance calories at your current weight would be about 2040 (this will change as you lose weight). You're way under that.

In other words: you're not doing anything wrong. Where I think a lot of us get into trouble is defining what we're doing is "dieting" and look forward to the day when we're "not dieting". We fall back into old habits then, and before you know it we're fat again. That's why here in the USA we're perpetually dieting and in spite of it, getting fatter than ever.

Success means making permanent lifestyle changes. Anyone can diet and lose weight; keeping it off for life is a different matter.

This, this, this!!!!! Thank you, this is so true, lifestyle change is what many 'quick fix dieters' don't aspire to. You can not expect to go back to your usual/old lifestyle and keep the weight off.

I've been doing it for 22-25 days now but only lost 5lbs. I honestly don't see it, I did a before n after and still look the same. I do exercise 4-5 times a week. My biggest problem is the food I eat, as of yesterday I started eating better. I was eating better but still had bad food in the process.
I kept listening to people telling me to portion control, I can eat whatever I want. Lies!!!!!
    Basically I was doing 80% exercise n 20% dieting...completely backwards.
Keep going! I need the support, I'll add you.

This isn't necessarily a lie. You can, indeed, eat whatever you want - as long as it fits within your allotted calories for the day (I am assuming you are counting calories).

If I want a cup of ice cream, I use a scale to weigh out a single serving (150 calories per serving, for example) or whatever, and enjoy my ice cream. 150 calories out of my 1,870 per day for something I really want to eat is not a detriment to my weight loss in any way. As long as I've been consistently around my daily calories allowed, I've been successfully losing. Some days I do go over, but more consistently than not, I meet my daily goal.

I think you are doing great! Slower than faster is better.

Also, monitoring progress by feel, look and body measurements is important also. Take pictures and compare as time goes on. You'll notice more changes than just a number on a scale. Keep it up and adopt the lifestyle change. Anyone can diet and lose fat. Pace yourself and keep it off. We are all here to help if you need!
