Need learn how to eat healthier but also meals that my teenage daughter would also like!

    I'd suggest that you pick meals that you both like, then look for a recipe and cook it together.

    "Eating healthier" is pretty subjective, but if you make sure you're including some fruit or veggies and watching your portion sizes, that would be a good start.

    I'm a teenage girl and I would LOVE if my parents would change the way they eat and make healthier meals, but I have always been appreciative of whatever my mom or dad have made for us and its typically you eat or feed yourself at my house. So I think your daughter will appreciate your change in lifestyle if you explain to her how beneficial it will be to you both. There's a ton of different healthy food options so id suggest not making her anything you know she doesn't like. There's tons of room to be creative with a healthy lifestyle!

    If you cook your meals yourself from real, single food ingredients, the meals will be healthy as well. Choose meals that you both like, and you will eat it. Enjoy eating and reap the benefits of better health at the same time. Win - win.

    Eating healthier could also be "substituting" your previous ingredients to healthier options and still enjoy your favourite meals! :)

    If she is interested at all in the kitchen, definitely get her on board. Kids & teens usually respond to being given responsibility & having a project. My kids are younger, but I usually keep things pretty simple and just aim for a good source of protein, the fresh veggies we like, and some fruit. We have LOTS of pizza. I use these ultra thin whole grain crusts I get at the store and will top with turkey pepperoini, Canadian bacon, & lots of fresh veggies. Usually no more than 4 or 5 oz. of cheese. Taco salads with lean ground beef or turkey work well. Chili is actually a great healthy choice. My kids will more readily eat veggies in soups than in any other form, and so easy to throw together.     Have a look at spiralising - fun and you can make some great dishes with spiralled veg!

    Have her go on Pinterest and pin some recipes she might like and go from there. I did that with my husband.
