Starvation mode as described by diet gurus is a myth. Your body doesn't magically hold onto fat just because you eat too little. If you burn more calories than you consume, however you do it, you will still lose weight. Just not necessarily in a healthy manner.
Eating too little isn't good for you as your body won't get the nutrition it needs and will eventually start consuming muscle mass for fuel. That is actual starvation and malnutrition and is really really BAD.0 -

I very rarely comment on forums for this reason - losing weight is hot topic...everyone has their opinions and everyone believes they are right or they are experts - perfect example here - I didn't state fact - in fact I said it was my opinion. Yet again nobody is disputing the quality of food. She is eating 700 calories a day and not losing. Her logging is suspect, get that fixed and then work on her macros.0 -

Of course the quality of the food we eat is important.
But OP asked why she wasn't losing weight. I don't think 200 calories of latte is the reason why she isn't losing weight. But if you can explain your logic, I'm open to hearing it.0 -

Lift weights. Seriously, if you're not try it - it makes a HUGE difference. Previously, I lost 50lbs & the magic didn't start for me until I began lifting....and lifting heavy. Cardio burns are significant but once you're done with your cardio, that's it. Lifting/strength training (which can include squats, lunges, etc) makes you gain muscle & burn fat throughout the day = the burn lasts longer. Good luck!0
