For what purpose, weight loss? Most nutritionists will put you on a cookie cutter or low calorie diet. Just create your own deficit and create balance in your macro and micronutrient consumption. Ask for help on here. Trust me, you don't need a nutritionist0

Nutritionists are dime a dozen. Anyone can call themselves a nutrionist. If you need help, you need to seek a registered dietician.

A registered dietitian usually doesn't use a cookie cutter plan.0

Registered Dietitian would be better than a nutritionist, unless you go to the one I went to who was completely useless. She didn't ask me a single question and told my son to keep eating exactly what he was already eating. Ummm... no. But I'd be willing to try again if I found one with good references. I think I just got a bad one. My insurance covered it though so at least I wasn't out any money.0

I went to an RD and she was very helpful but I didn't go for weight loss. I went to figure out my trigger foods for Crohn's (she guided me through an elimination diet and informed me of what the typical triggers are and what to look for on labels).0

Sometimes (not very often) your medical plan will pay for some visits to a registered dietician.0

I have consulted with a degreed registered nutritionist for 6 years. I also studied nutrition in college. Any nutritionist you consider ask if they are a registered nutritionist and ask to see their certification. If they can't provide you with a legitimate record of registered nutritionist, run the other way. Registered Nutitionists are awesome. My nutritionist reviews my food journal and offers suggestions of what I need to add to ensure that my body doesn't go without all the nutrients it needs, especially when dieting.0
