You're underweight even after gaining, so I wouldn't even worry about losing weight and would instead look into meeting with a professional.0

Agreed with the above. You don't need to lose any weight.
However, if you need to lose fat, consider a body re-composition program which involves eating at or just below maintenance and heavy lifting or body weight resistance program.0 -
You're a 5'7" 117 pound male and trying to lose weight? Why?0

How would I open my diary ?0

I carry my weight around the lower part of my stomach ,the rest of my body composition is fine and this is my final goal,I am physically fit and good overall health but I can't seem to shift the fat of that one specific area0

I previously recorded the data personally on paper and the binge was an isolated incident I have been following a 1600 calorie food intake since last Monday0

5' 7" @ 117 sounds pretty thin. You sure your goals/expectations are reasonable?
But to you're question, if you want to lose weight and aren't, then start by eating less.0 -
The binge eating was due to a personal matter and as for the other advice I appreciate it even if I do not currently agree with it and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment0

How much fat are we talking about on the lower part of your stomach? There shouldnt be any at 5'7" and 117 pounds. Im 5'6" and 125 in my profile pic and i pretty much have no fat under the skin around my belly button. Something doesnt seem right.0 -

Agreed. And OP is, coincidentally, 18 years old - the minimum age to use this site.0 -
If you are 5'7" and 117lb you should not try to lose weight, you are at a good low weight now. If you are lifting weights, you are building muscle and will likely weigh more and be leaner, but not necessarily be bigger.
For peace of mind, try measuring your waist instead of weighing. It is entirely possible that if you want to be fit, you may have to weigh a few more pounds, not get lighter, and it's unlikely that you could be fit if much lighter.
Also you may want to get your body-fat tested.
If by some quirk you actually have over healthy % bodyfat at 117lb (which I think is unlikely as you say you are fit), I think your best course of action is to just work out to build muscle, eat to maintain where you are, around 117lb, and see what happens, I think you will like the results.
I am built thin and CAN have extra fat and simultaneously be underweight if I don't work out. That part I understand. The answer is not to drop to an unhealthy low weight, at the expense of your bones, heart, and brain, but to exercise and gain muscle, if the fat % is actually too high it will go away as part of that process.0 -

A week isn't enough time to see progress let alone change your body composition, which being a 5'7" male weighing 117 pounds is what your goal should actually be, rather than losing weight.
A lot of us think you may have body dysmorphia which you could dispel if you posted a picture of yourself.0 -
Thank you for the advice and I will include more free weight exercises into my current programme0

Okay, I'll be honest; you do not look to be 117 pounds. However, the solution is not to lose weight. You need to start a lifting program ASAP to get the look you're going for. The only thing you're going to do is destroy your body composition if you try to lose weight. You should be eating at a calorie surplus and lifting heavy weights. On the plus side, you look healthier in the current photo as opposed to 8 weeks ago. Seriously. I'm not saying that to make you feel better. You look healthier and stronger now, but use your current look as a solid foundation to build muscle.0

Do you think he meant to type 171? No way that looks like 117

I agree with the above. You dont look 117 pounds in the picture. You sure you werent dehydrated when you weighed yourself or your scale is broken? My suggestion would also be not to try and lose more weight but to lift heavy and build some muscle. Give it some time, see how you look in a couple of months and get back to us with pics.0

What's your weight lifting regimen? For your heaviest set of weights, how many reps do you do? How long have you been doing this?
I agree with the posting above that you look better now than 8 weeks ago and to lift heavy and eat more.0 -

I'm hoping it was a typo, yeah. I'm not positive though because one woman posted here about losing belly fat. She was only eating 700 calories per day on and off for years. She was 5'4" and weighed 105. She eventually posted photos. The damage she did to her body composition was so bad, you'd guess she was 120+ pounds.
However, he doesn't have that "skinny fat" look that she did, so maybe it really was an unfortunate typo. Regardless, my advice would still stand.
ETA: Thanks, @kshama2001 I completely missed that part. I'm honestly baffled at those weights looking at the photos. OP, what scale do you use? Are you weighing on a carpet or something?0 -
