I have had three c-sections. I'm looking for ways to lose that pocket of fat at bottom of my stomach.

You just need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight and some core work to get your stomach muscles back in shape next question is do you have a lit if stretch marks if that's so your stomach may never go back to normal but that's OK too

I don't have a lot of stretch marks but I do have some. Does that make a difference?

It can with excess skin but might take some time to go back to normal your skin may not be as tight as it once was

Can you make it tighter or is there now always going to be a pocket of fat. Also I've also heard it's bad to build muscle over fat, is that even possible? Sorry I'm new to this and trying to figure this all out. Thank you for your help.

I have a lot of stretch marks on my stomach. I havent had any c sections, but Im almost 4 years into working out and my belly is close to being flat. so far I dont have a lot of excess skin(I will be 42 in august),but its taking a long time to get down to where I want it anyway.I dont think the stretch marks will make a difference. I have a little left to lose on it though.I lift weights too so that may have had some help in how it looks. strengthening the stomach muscles can make it appear a lot better than it is but it all comes down to a deficit. But i do know that when you have c sections it creates scar tissue and you wont be able to reduce that so you may not get the look you want without surgery, even then it may not work

you dont build muscle over fat. if you build muscle(which takes a caloric surplus) you build muscle underneath and it can make your stomach look bigger at first until you lose any fat or get the fat percentage down. but its possible you will have a small pocket because of the c sections. making it tight depends also on genetics, and elasticity in your skin.

Just do a calorie deficit and exercise and see what happens over time

I'm 36 and had my third baby a year ago. I've only been on here for eight days and its really helping me and I love the support system built in.
