Stumped...

I guess maybe I want fast(er) results but I'm wondering if my carb/protein/fat ratio isn't right. I actually just reset it to 35/45/20 since I've been reading a lot on here and added a lot more protein to my diet. I always seem to be over on my carbs though?? Is that okay since a lot of it is from healthy carbs, whole grains, fruits? Any suggestions?? I've read on here some people losing 10 lbs in 2 weeks. However I know everyone is different, I just feel I'm eating well (minus yesterday I went to Chili's and splurged a little) and have been exercising a lot (therefore increasing protein), I should be doing better... ???????????

:ohwell: :grumble:

No one can really offer advice until they can see your food diary.

I ignore those ratios and stick to my calorie limit, while trying to eat as healthy as I can.

while everyone is different, I know personally, no matter how hard I workout or well I eat, my body seems to lose between 5 - 8 lbs a month (to be fair, I still drink alcohol and eat take out 2x a month, and don't really deny myself snacks - just consume them in moderation and in account of my daily calorie limit....) - results are slower than some of those I've read about here, but every 'body' is different ... sorry I cannot speak to the carb/protein/fat ratio, as that is something I never really thought about ... Good luck on everything!
  • Well thanks for that.... if a lot of you that have lost stick to your calorie limit which I am doing and don't strictly follow the ration then I'm doing okay!!! This is all a learning experience for life and I want to get into the best habits NOW!!!! :-)

    BTW, I love MFP!!!!!

Can you set your carb/protein/fat ratio somewhere on this site? If so, could you tell me how you did that?

Yes you can... under "my home" up top there is a goals tab... just click on that and go to custom settings.

I spoke with the owner of my gym today and I think I finally got it right.., 45/35/20  YAY!!!! Now pounds, go away!!!! You are not wanted here.... hehehe
