So I started insanity month 2 two weeks ago. I lost a good amount of weight during month 1 I went down a size. Now I find myself finishing week 2 more bloated and looking bigger than month 1. I burn 500-750 calories every workout. I eat 1300-1680 calories during the week. I weigh 207 pounds as of this morning and I'm 5'5. I eat clean as well. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please help me. I work a desk job so I'm sedentary until I get home. My end of the day overall calorie burn from my Fitbit ranges from 2400-2900 depending on the day.

Your diary is closed. If you open it, you may get some useful advice.

That said, if you're a menstruating female, bloating and weight gain can be common around certain times of the month.

I'm nowhere near my cycle right now. I know I bloat when I'm PMSing but that's not the issue.

Well, without knowing more details about how you're logging and how much you're eating, it's going to be difficult for us to tell if anything is wrong. Have you actually gained weight or do you just "look" bigger?

I eat around 1300-1600 calories - veggies/greens and white meat, portioned fresh fruits, eggs, granola

I look bigger I haven't weighed myself until today so I can't tell if I dropped anything weight wise.

Many times when people don't get the results they expect, it's due to logging issues. If we could view your diary, we might be able to help you identify a common error. You reporting what you eat isn't going to help us see if you might accidentally be eating more than you think.

You're eating more than you think. Are you weighing your food?

Yeah I'm not eating more than that. I weigh my food too. I log pretty religiously. I eat 1400-1600 and I burn 500-750 of those calories during my workouts

If you're netting fewer than 1,000 calories a day, then it isn't weight gain. Unfortunately, without more details, I doubt anyone is going to be able to help you.

Can you open your food diary? It's hard to tell where people are off without seeing everything. Also, a person can naturally fluctuate several lbs in a day and week. 2 weeks isn't really enough time to make a solid judgement.

Then go see a doctor because there's just no way you would not have lost anything by netting 800-1100 calories in 2 months.

It's just these past 2-3 weeks. And no I don't want to open up my diary especially to people who make smug remarks just because I choose to keep it private. I see a bunch of people get help from others that don't open their diaries so you can leave if it bothers you that much. Thanks.

That's your choice. I'm not sure what assistance you expect people to provide though . . . we don't know the most relevant details -- how you are tracking your food intake. Good luck.

The two most probable areas are accuracy and consistency. If we can't evaluate the most probables areas of concern, then it's hard to pinpoint your issues. So at this point, I would say wait another 2-3 weeks to address trends. Plateaus happens at 4-6 weeks. And it's not uncommon to see larger decreases or swooshes after several weeks.

Not here to judge, but its like going to a doctor and asking them to figure out why you are sick, without telling them the symptoms. If you would prefer a more personal approach, open your diary to friends and select a few of us to evaluate it.

The only helpful advice at this point then is

If you don't want to open your diary, then you obviously have something to hide, whatever that something is, is probably the reason you arent having any success right now, but your on your own for solutions since no ones going to be able to see it besides you.

Don't take it personally, it's just that a lot of people use incorrect entries or don't weigh their food properly... so an open diary is enlightening.

But ok I just realized that you haven't lost anything in 2 weeks, and that really doesn't mean anything at all. You won't lose weight every week, and it's normal to retain water when you start a new fitness program (and if you're a women, before your cycle). Just give it time.

I'm shocked you can get through insanity with such low calories. I completed insanity about a month ago, I did not lose weight, in fact I gained, due to constant swelling of my muscles. I was also lifting heavy weights. ( not smart) I did lose inches, so maybe you should measure yourself. I would definitely give it more time, I have a feeling you'll see your biggest loss a week after its complete. Congratulations on making it this far, insanity is no joke!

Two weeks of no loss is pretty normal. Perhaps you're due for the big whoosh.
Also, are you going to the bathroom regularly?
    How's your sodium intake?

    Exercise can cause fluid retention.

The reason why others are asking you to open your diary is so that they can help you.
Do you weight absolutely everything (minus actual liquids) that you eat? Fats? condiments? Salad dressings? Vegetables and fruits? Uncooked meats? Uncooked rice/pasta/grains? Do you weigh in grams? The reason why we want to look at your diary (even if it is for a short time) is to see if the entries you're using are the accurate entries as there are many false entries in the database.
